General Information

Admission to The Geelong Clinic is arranged by your general practitioner or treating psychiatrist.

During your stay you will need comfortable casual clothing suitable for day wear and attendance at group sessions.

Our staff will be able to answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have about your stay with us.

On arrival, please visit our main reception staff.

We constantly measure our patients' satisfaction in regard to the care and services they receive, and we seek ways to improve how we meet their expectations.

The Geelong Clinic is recognised by all major health funds that will reimburse treatment costs depending on your level of coverage. We can provide you with an estimate of hospital charges and outline the level of cover by your fund and any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur.

Prior approval is sought for compensable patients (i.e. Workcover, MAB, TAC or DVA).

If you do not have private health insurance please contact the Front Office Manager prior to your admission to obtain an estimate of the cost of your stay. Your account must be paid in full on admission.

As a Tier 1 Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) contracted hospital, all DVA patients with a 'Gold Card' are fully covered for shared accommodation.

We realise hospital and related charges can sometimes be difficult to understand, so please ask for assistance, we are most happy to help you.
